Flowerstone: Fashion Reuse and Restyle |
Hi, I'm Bebe. If shopping at high end stores for unique yet pricey items leaves you with the feeling that you've sacrificed a little bit of your soul (and a lot of your wallet) ... this is where you'll get a little daily perspective on how to shop for, reuse and re-style old pieces of clothing that you probably would never look twice at. I'll give tips on how to shop in a vintage and thrift environment and ideas on how to restyle things in your closet that might be an inch from wardrobe retirement. All photos are of either me or my friends dressed in thrift, vintage, and/or reconstructed pieces mixed in with newly bought items--- Can you tell which items are "used"? ;) |
Collared shirt, $4 goodwill stores
Hat $12, Men’s Forever 21
Sunglasses $2, Burlington Coat Factory
Shoes $20, Nike Outlet
I think there’s something very American about a good old plaid collared shirt when it comes to menswear… I picked this up thrifting at Goodwill in the men’s section and as nice as it looks on Kevin, it actually works great as a unisex oversize for me with the sleeves rolled. :) But, we’re talking about menswear here… so let me get back to the point. I paired it with a white tank. (I’m sure you men know what I’m talking about… they come in packs of 3 for under $10 at Target or Walmart”) and a pair of lightwash ripped jeans… which I really favor on both men and women for the summertime. Topped off with a woven hat from Men’s Forever 21 and a pair of Aviators I found for only $2 discount at Burlington I think this outfit would look good on all the “boys of summer” :)
